2024: a record year for Mitsubishi in Canada
The story of Mitsubishi's Canadian division is an incredible one. Established in the early 2000s, it has gone through difficult times, but has always bounced back stronger than ever. Today, it is a...
Action Mitsubishi
The Mitsubishi RVR represents one of the most rational purchases across the automotive industry. If you really want to enjoy a practical, durable and reliable vehicle that's going to give you value for money, you won't find anything better, honestly.
The range is divided into six models, with five trim levels: ES (front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive), SE, SEL, Noir and GT, all featuring the S-AWC (Super-All Wheel Control) system.
We recently described the features of the base ES version. Let's now turn our attention to the SE variant, perhaps the perfect compromise in terms of equipment and value for money. This model is also offered under the $30,000 mark, which has become a rarity these days, especially with such competent all-wheel drive.
The mechanics
First of all, mechanically, like all other variants apart from the base ES front-wheel-drive version, the SE livery benefits from the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which offers 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) provides the link to the wheels, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters put the driver in control.
The ride is solid and reassuring.
As for the SE version's equipment, it's very interesting. In addition to the automatic climate control, heated front seats and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps that come with the ES version, the SE model also boasts high-end fabric seats, a six-speaker audio system instead of four, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, as well as blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
And as with all Mitsubishi models, the purchase of this model comes with incredible peace of mind, in the form of a 10-year or 160,000-kilometer powertrain warranty. No other manufacturer offers as much.
And think about it. If Mitsubishi can offer this kind of protection, it's because we know our vehicles are reliable. Otherwise, we'd be out of business.
So you can take to the road with peace of mind with an RVR in SE configuration.
