The 2023 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study recently revealed that Mitsubishi is more reliable than competing brands such as Toyota, which have long been praised for the reliability of their vehicles. When you buy a Mitsubishi model, you can be sure it will stand the test of time, because this study goes really deep. Responses were collected from 30,062 vehicle owners, and after reviewing the data, J.D. Power found that Mitsubishi ranked among the top five most reliable brands.
Kelly Blue Book
Kelley Blue Book gives all Mitsubishi models a reliability rating of at least 3/5, with many - including the Mitsubishi Mirage and Mitsubishi Outlander - well within the four.

Mitsubishi's reliability rating is 4.0 out of 5.0, ranking it 6th out of 32 car brands. This rating is based on an average of 345 unique models. The average annual repair cost of a Mitsubishi product is $535, which is below the industry average of $635.
